To achieve its purpose of monitoring, evaluating, and advocating for its members, the ACCJC needed robust evaluation and monitoring systems requiring complex integrations. Kai Analytics worked with the ACCJC to use advanced tools to provide the pertinent metrics and indicators needed to provide its members with a full understanding of where they are strong and where improvements are needed. It also provides transparency to the public on where institutions stand.

Each year, we collect annual report surveys from every ACCJC institution. We do this using a customized survey portal that makes it easy for institutions to share the survey with different colleagues and by supporting each institution as they work to complete their responses. This includes both single and multi-system institutions.
Our analysis and reporting of the survey results in three dashboards that display different metrics and indicators that provide the data for the ACCJC to carry out its work. These dashboards allow users to quickly see both aggregated, regional, and institution-specific metrics.
We work in tandem with the ACCJC every year to ensure the process is seamless, accurate, and provides valuable insights.
To more clearly highlight the data for each institution, our challenge was to embed a unique dashboard on each institution’s directory page with an optimal setup in terms of maintenance.
We set up integrations between WordPress, SharePoint, Excel, and Salesforce so the data would seamlessly flow from the survey, to the dashboard, to the website, and to the salesforce database. admins can update the data and see the results automatically on the public dashboard. This process reduces the administrative burden and supports colleges as they work to improve their metrics and indicators.
This process also included a refresh of the ACCJC’s website to update its design and better display its institutional metrics.
In addition to reporting on metrics, ACCJC identified a need for a designated system for member institutions to access resources that would support their efforts to improve their indicators. We created a free digital community resource library with robust search abilities and filters, providing supportive materials for ACCJC members. We built the library using custom tables, CSS, and JavaScript. The ACCJC team is able to update the library frequently and add and modify columns as needed without further coding.
Our refresh of the website included adjusting elements of the homepage and design to be more intuitive and user-friendly.

The ACCJC works in an ongoing capacity with all members to advance student outcomes and educational measures, leading to a better educational system. Our work supports and enhances this mission, providing the data colleges need to understand how they compare to their peers and make strategic decisions to guide their work.
